Plan to spend a day promoting yourself to potential employers making sure that you do the following:

• Dress professionally
• Ask to speak to the person who handles recruitment
• Introduce yourself in a confident and friendly manner
• Leave a copy of your resume
• Re visit the employer every couple of weeks to remind them that you are still searching for work.
