What is the National Green Jobs Corp program?
If you have an interest in the environment then this is for you.

The National Green Jobs Corp program provides individuals the relevant experience, licences and accredited training required to begin a career in the industry.

National Green Jobs Corp is a 26 week program designed to train individuals in the various methods involved in the preservation and revitalisation of our environment.

You will work closely with local councils and community organisations and have the chance to further your own horticultural and environmental skills, while undertaking accredited training.

The primary focus of the National Green Jobs Corp is to equip participants with the necessary skills to enable them to gain employment in the environmental sector.

Eligibility?

To be eligible for the National Green Jobs Corp program you must:

Be unemployed between the ages of 17 – 24; and receiving either Youth Allowance or Newstart Allowance or
Working less than 15 hours a week; or
Not involved in full time education; or
On a Disability Support Pension

National Green Jobs Corp program will provide:

Participants who successfully complete the National Green Jobs Corp program will gain:

Accredited Units towards Certificate II in a relevant field
Occupational Health and Safety Card
Relevant work experience
Industry based training
Skills development
Comprehensive job search and job seeking assistance
Referral and support in accessing training and community providers for any non-vocational barrier
Reverse marketing to employers
